BMW R67/2: The Fasters German Touring Motorcycle of Its Time

The BMW R67 is a two-cylinder motorcycle by Bayerischen Motoren Werke (BMW) with a displacement of 600cm³ and nominal output of 19.5kW (26hp).

On its introduction to the market in February 1951 together with the parallel model BMW R51/3, it was then the first major BMW motorcycle developed after the Second World War.

After 1470 copies of the R67 produced in December 1951, the R67/2 was developed and was successfully increased in rated power inn 2hp. It was produced for 4234 times until 1954 and was the fastest German touring motorcycle until the 35hp sports model BMW R68 appeared.

It is powered by a two-cylinder four-stroke engine that runs at 28hp@5600rpm. It has an empty weight of 129kg while it has a permissible maximum weight of 355 kg.
