Interesting Story of 68' Dodge Charger "Ghost of the General Lee"
If you're old enough to remember the Dukes of Hazard, an American action-comedy television series that aired on CBS from 1979 to 1985 with a total 147 enjoyable episodes lasting for seven seasons, then you probably recognized the General Lee, the nave given to a 1968 Dodge Charger driven in this cool television series.
The General Lee, or simply known as the General, was based on an orange 1968 Dodge Charger with a Confederate battle flag painted on the roof, the words General Lee and the number 01 written on each door. Through the course of the series, 309 Chargers were estimated to be used; 17 of them are still existent and functional in different states of repair. Today's video shows us one of these 17 Dodge Chargers used in the Duke of Hazards.
