Maximus was built by Scott Spock Racing and Nelson Racing Engines. Maximus has a twin-turbo 9.4-liter HEMI V8 that is able to produce 600 to 2000 horsepower. That is a larger power output range, proving Maximus is not messing around. Nelson Racing Engines CEO Tom Nelson explained that Maximus has a clear coat over bare metal.
