Golden Years of Logging-Vintage Logging Footage

Early 1960's were the years when huge stands of old growth forests were logged out with various kinds of trees inside. This truly amazing footage, probably filmed in 1960-61, illustrates the golden years of logging when trucks were trucks and loggers were the masters of their domains.

In those good days, there were no tree huggers blocking the road and protesting against the lumber industry because the logging practice then was not so damaging to the environment. It's great that someone had a movie camera back then and recorded this spectacular footage to show the future generations.
