The 1929 GMC truck was part of the second generation of General Motors Corporation's "New Design" light-duty trucks. These trucks featured a longer wheelbase, higher ground clearance, and improved brakes and suspension compared to previous models.

The 1929 GMC truck was powered by a 6-cylinder engine with a displacement of 194 cubic inches (3.2 liters) and produced around 40 horsepower. It had a 3-speed manual transmission and was capable of carrying up to 1.5 tons of payload.

The design of the 1929 GMC truck was simple and functional, with a narrow cab and flatbed cargo area. The headlights were mounted on the front fenders, and the radiator grille featured a distinctive GMC emblem.
